Being a first-time mom can be overwhelming, especially when you are trying to juggle all of the advice your family and mom-friends have given you. Have no fear because there are a few applications available that can help you track baby’s progress and help you live your best mom life. Here are the best five parenting apps first time moms would love.

Ovia Parenting & Baby Tracker

Ovia is your one-stop-shop for being able to track your baby’s growth, milestones, and daily functions all in one place. You can track your little one’s sleep, feedings, and diapers through the app to have it easily accessible at your next doctor’s visit. You also receive personalized updates from the app on your baby’s development in a number of categories.

This app isn’t just for first-time moms, it can also be very beneficial to first-time dads and grandparents as well as more experienced moms. Yuggler is used to find and host family-related activities around you. You can use filters to narrow down the types of activities you would like to see as well as get notified when more pop-up. This free app won the Parent’s Choice Approved Award as well as a 2016 Webby’s Award Honoree.

Peanut-Meet Mom Friends

Advertised as a way to “Meet as Mamas. Connect as Women”, Peanut is an app that allows fellow moms to chat and meet-up with each other. You also have the opportunity to post within the Peanut community asking for advice on all things mom-related. This is a great way to make new friends that just get what it’s like being a mom.

Cloud Baby Monitor

Baby monitors are one of the best investments you can have when it comes to the transition period of moving your child to sleeping in their crib full-time and beyond. Using two devices, one is used in your baby’s nursery and the other will receive live streamed footage on your end. According to Cloud, “all communication is secure, protected by industry standard encryption to make sure that only you have the access  to your baby’s video stream.” The app also allows you to use white noise and lullabies to help soothe your baby if they begin to get restless.

WebMD Baby

Much like normal WebMD and WebMD Pregnancy, this baby-geared app from the same company is here to provide support and answer any common questions you have about your baby that aren’t important enough for a doctor’s visit. The app has “an extensive library of medically-approved content including 400 articles, 598 tips, and 70 videos.” In addition to the vast amount of information you can find, the app also features a number of different trackers including a diaper tracker, growth tracker, and a breastfeeding tracker.

Breastfeeding Central is a great app for breastfeeding moms with tons of tips to get breastfeeding off to a good start. Moms can use it as a breastfeeding class to prepare during pregnancy, then to manage the hospital and early weeks at home. There’s a good section on pumping and returning to work and favorite tips can be saved with the app’s bookmark feature.
