Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 and a half tbsp vegan sugar (although most are now)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1.5 cups vegan butter. If you do not have butter, you can have a mix of 4 tablespoons of oil (canola works best) and 4 tablespoons of aquafaba
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp water (make sure ice cold)

Directions

  1. Combine the all-purpose flour, salt and sugar.
  2. Slice in the vegan butter in small pieces
  3. Mix the vegan butter to the dry mix until it feels lumpy/cumbly.
  4. Mix in the vegetable oil and water slowly while combining into a dough.
  5. Place the dough in the fridge for two hours covered well to chill.
  6. Your pastry is ready to create lavish dishes!
  7. When rolling it out, if it falls apart a little bit, chill for longer. The patry needs to stay cold so the oil/butter mixture doesn’t start to become wam and unstable.
