Royal Vegan Christmas

The Duchess of Cambridge’s mother Carole Middleton has said she might also serve a vegan option this Christmas, as she herself has recently gone Vegan, or flexitarian, as she calls it, because she’s not going to make a fuss if she goes to someones home for dinner. There will be non-vegan food served along with Champagne for a small brunch before the full Christmas dinner feast. The feast will include both the traditional Christmas menu and a vegan option.

The grandmother to the little royals told the Royal Telegraph’s Stella magazine that she’s been preparing for the visit by putting little Christmas trees in Charlotte and George’s bedrooms for them to decorate themselves. Carol, who describes herself as a ‘normal, hands-on grandmother’, says she’s been planning Christmas since Halloween, and that she doesn’t put too much pressure on herself to make everything perfect as its often the imperfections that make things memorable. Looks like this time it might be a royal vegan Christmas.

Carole is celebrating thirty years in business this year with her family company Party Pieces. The grandmother says that her family will always come first, even more-so when she has more free time on her hands, adding that her biggest fear was loosing her family when her children grew up but that they have remained very close. She says the she has two lovely son in-laws and hopes to one day have a nice daughter in-law too.

Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are said to be skipping a visit to Sandringham with the Queen this year so that they can spend the holiday with the Middletons at their Bucklebury home in Berkshire.
