Mint and Charred Raw Mango Vegan Sherbet: You Can’t Have Enough This Summer
Be it summer or be it a hectic day, a refreshing drink is not something that needs an excuse. Here we are presenting you one such exotic drink to beat the summer heat. The lively ingredients are sure to tease your palate and open up your taste buds. It can be served to guests as a welcome drink at any brunch party.
Ingredients:
- Mint: a bunch
- Raw mango: 1 small; cut into halves to be charred
- Black salt: to taste
- Organic sugar: 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
Instructions to make vegan sherbet:
- Grill the unpeeled raw mango over an open flame or any grill that you have.
- Peel the mangoes and remove the excess charred portion. Dice the rest into small cubes.
- Blend the raw mango, mint, and sugar in a blender.
- Make a thick and smooth paste. This will be the base of your drink.
- Now take a water jug. Put crushed ice in it. Fill it with water and add the mango-mint paste.
- Add in the black salt and pepper. Check for the sweetness.
- Add more sugar if need be. Adjust the salt accordingly.
This drink has an immediate summery feel to it. It can instantly refresh your body. Serve chilled with a mint sprig on top of the glass (and a little decorative umbrella would be great). Make in batches. Keep the paste in the refrigerator and make the sherbet as and when needed. Just add the paste, water, salt, and pepper and serve. It is that easy.
Note: You can store the vegan sherbet in a glass jar in the fridge for three days. Did you like the simple recipe to be an amazing crowd pleaser? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
