Nestle to launch Vegan Burger: “Incredible” in U.K., “Awesome” in U.S.
The world’s largest food manufacturing company has decided to try its hand in the ever-growing vegan market. Nestle is set to launch a plant-based burger, proving yet again the exorbitant popularity that is persuading even the biggest food manufacturers to contribute to the vegan offerings.

Plant-based Burger by Nestle
The world famous KitKat maker has announced its plants to release a plant-based burger that reportedly will be innovative and tasty enough to give serious competition to the original beef patty burgers. According to Nestle’s official statement, the upcoming burger will be made available in “cook from raw” form, allowing consumers the liberty to cook to their preferences. The plant-based burgers will be launched first in the United Kingdom, and later in the United States.
Nestlé’s new vegan burger, named Garden Gourmet Incredible Burger, will be sold under the “Garden Gourmet” branding beginning this April in different European locations. This 100% plant-based product will be crafted using soy and wheat protein. According to Nestle, the use of natural plant extracts from carrots, beetroot and bell peppers has enabled developers to recreate the taste and feel of original beef burgers. The newly launched vegan delight will join the exiting range of Garden Gourmets in the chilled or frozen aisles of grocery stores.

According to Wayne England, the head of Nestle food business, the upcoming product won’t be compromising on taste, texture or even cooking experience. The new product will stand as a reflection of Nestlé’s desire to deliver tasty, authentic and plant-based foods.
“We believe this trend is here to stay, as consumers look at different ways to enjoy and balance their protein intake and lower the environmental footprint of their diets,” said England.
Incredible for Europe, Awesome for America
Europe will receive the “Incredible Burger,” while the US is set to receive the “Awesome Burger” from Nestle this fall, under the branding of Sweet Earth Foods.
“We’re proud of our ability to make healthy and sustainable food accessible to everyone through our trusted brands.” England said in a statement.
England also mentioned in the statement that more and more people are choosing vegan foods, but not all products are able to meet consumer expectations. Nestle’s vegan burgers will allow meat-eaters to enjoy plant-based products because they don’t compromise on taste and this burger even sizzles like beef while cooking!
