No Sausage Rolls

No sausage rolls. These delicious, hearty little morsels will go down a treat as part of a main meal, served with some sweet potato fries and a side salad. They can also become a favourite for a party. Full of flavour and very simple to make – they are sure to be a hit no matter what social gathering you bring them to…even if they are all for you while you watch some TV!

YOU NEED •

Spelt mountain bread (or wrap of choice)

Mixture:

2 cups mushrooms

1 cup soaked walnuts

Half carrot

Half onion

Garlic clove

1 T Chia seeds

Salt and pepper to taste

METHOD

  • Combine all ingredients in food processor until minced then cook in coconut oil for a few mins till softened and add some herbs and spices if you like.
  • Roll mixture in your choice of wrap, brush outside with rice/almond/oat milk and a little along the edge to stick.
  • Bake at 160C for 15-20 or till starting to brown.
