Sir David Attenborough Applauds Teen Activist Greta Thunberg
In an interview with The Times yesterday, Sir David Attenborough praised the actions of teen climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Popular broadcaster Attenborough called Thunberg “remarkable” and spoke of how pleased he is that the public is becoming more aware of the climate crisis.
Aged 16 years old, Thunberg has drawn global attention to the threat of climate change, and has highlighted the changes that governments could make to address the issue.
The young activist, who follows a vegan diet, is currently travelling by boat across the Atlantic Ocean to reach a climate conference in Madrid. She refuses to fly due to the impact it has on the environment.

“The world is changing” said Attenborough, “and with me and my family and friends there are more vegetarians or ‘fishertarians’ or whatever they call them than there were five years ago.”
Earlier this year, the much-loved presenter released a documentary called Climate Change — The Facts. Throughout the film he explains the science behind climate change and offers ideas on how to fight against it.
