Juicing is a method that’s been around for quite a while to sneak more vegetables in your diet and to help cut back on calories. Juicing can lead to weight loss because when done successfully, it results in a calorie deficit. With a healthy diet and some exercise, juicing is a great supplement to your cruelty-free fitness lifestyle! By replacing a few meals a week with a healthy, nutrient-packe juice you can improve your overall digestive health as well.  

One of the great things about juicing is how customizable it is. You can juice almost any fruit or vegetable and come up with some crazy and delicious creations, without needing a cookbook. Whether you’re in the mood for a sweet orange and carrot juice or an antioxidant-rich kale and berry juice, juicing at home is the solution. This is the reason why I love incorporating juices in my diet while vegan meal planning for weight loss.

Some key ingredients in this recipe are celery, ginger, and lemon juice. Celery is a very beneficial element to your green juices, not only is it loaded with Vitamins C and K as well as potassium, but it also has anti-inflammatory properties (which helps with acne, eczema, and IBS to name a few) Ginger is a great addition for those who have trouble eating in the morning because it eases the stomach. Lemon helps with the promotion of weight loss and digestion and it can ease the bitter taste from leafy greens.

Here is the best detox juicing recipe that can be an integral part of your vegan meal planning for weight loss.

Ingredients (Serves 2):

  • 2 green apples
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 4 large kale leaves
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • small handful of parsley
  • fresh lemon juice to taste

Instructions:

  1. Thoroughly wash all produce. Quarter the apples, peel the cucumber, remove leaves from celery, and peel the ginger.  
  2. Juice your items in the order they are listed in the ingredient list.
  3. Stir in lemon juice to taste, a tablespoon at a time.
  4. Serve over ice and enjoy immediately.
