Virtuous Pie Named Best Vegan Pizzeria In Annual Veg Awards

by | April 1, 2020

The Portland location of plant-based pizza shop Virtuous Pie has taken home the award for Best Vegan Pizzeria in VegNews’ annual Veggie Awards.

The brand, which was born out of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, has made a name for itself slinging pizzas and ice cream through a number of casual quick-service restaurants. It now boasts locations in Victoria, Portland, Vancouver, and Toronto.

Menu offerings include items such as the Stranger Wings pizza — the brand’s spin on the classic buffalo-and-blue-cheese combo — and a Skillet Cookie piled high with ice cream, marshmallows, and dairy-free caramel drizzle. Kombucha, wine, and local craft beer is usually on tap.

Virtuous Pie During COVID-19

While most of Virtuous Pie’s locations have temporarily closed to protect the public during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Chinatown location remains open — taking extra precautions to prevent the spread of the virus, and offering pickup and delivery only.

The operating hours are from 12-8 and orders can be placed through DoorDash, UberEats and Foodora.
