A$AP Rocky Works Vegan Lifestyle Into New Single

Rap artist A$AP Rocky has used his latest single as an opportunity to mention his vegan lifestyle.

The lyrics to “Babushka Boi” — which debuted today and now has over 1.5 million views on YouTube — include a line in which the star says “I ain’t duck sauce since I became a vegan.”

The rap artist went on record as early as 2012 in saying that he was moving away from an animal-based diet. That year, he told Complex that he had gone pescatarian for animal welfare reasons.

Later, he sat down with Vegan Hip Hop Movement to discuss what had become a vegetarian diet.

In his claim to the vegan label, the music industry star joins a number of other hip-hop artists, including Will.I.Am, Wocka Flocka, RZA, and Andre 3000.
