Adidas And Beastie Boys Launch New Vegan Sneaker

by | July 28, 2019

Beastie Boys musicians Adam Horovitz and Mike Diamond have teamed up with with Adidas to launch a completely vegan sneaker.

The shoe — released on the 30th anniversary of their album Paul’s Boutique — features the iconic Adidas three-stripe pattern, a vegan canvas upper, gum sole, and Beastie Boys logo on the tongue.

It was made vegan in honor of their late bandmate Adam Yauch, who passed away from cancer in 2012. Prior to his death, Yauch adopted a plant-based diet in an attempt fight the disease.

A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the Beastie Boys shoe will be donated to the two charitable organizations, Little Kids Rock and PEACE Sisters.

You can find the shoe at select skate shops and online retailers.
