Baskin-Robbins To Launch Two New Vegan Flavors
US ice cream giant Baskin-Robbins is set to debut two vegan ice cream flavors by popular demand.
The new offerings, Non-Dairy Chocolate Extreme and Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, are adaptations of nonvegan flavors from the chain, and have reportedly bred great results.
“Both flavors are so smooth and indulgent, and the final product delivers the incredible quality that our customers have come to expect from any Baskin-Robbins ice cream,” said the brand’s Director of Research and Development, Jeanne Bolger.
“We’re very proud of the result.”
While Baskin-Robbins already offers vegan friendly sorbet, these will be the chain’s first creamy vegan flavors. The nationwide rollout begins August 1.
Long Time Coming
According to Bolger, the dairy-free flavors are the product of a long-term effort.
“The Baskin-Robbins culinary team has been hard at work on our non-dairy flavors for over two years,” she said.
“It was important for us to take the time to get it right.”
