California Child Dies After Contracting COVID-19
A person under the age of 18 has died in California after contracting the coronavirus, COVID-19.
Head of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Barbara Ferrer — who made the announcement this week — called the tragic loss “a devastating reminder that COVID-19 infects people of all ages.”

Minors Not immune To COVID-19
While COVID-19 poses the most significant threat older generations, a number of cases have been reported in teens, children and even infants, who may be the most vulnerable group with the under-18 demographic.
While one child, a 14-year-old boy, did already die in China, this is believed to be the first coronavirus-related minor fatality in the United States.
