by | July 18, 2020

Global food manufacturer and dairy giant Danone has launched its first ever range of vegan yoghurt drinks.

The new plant-based yoghurt products are available in Asda stores in the UK, and will launch at additional major supermarkets later this year.

Customers can choose from two flavors — Mango & Passionfruit and Blueberry — with a six pack priced at £2.99.

“The Plant-Based World”

“We’re really excited to bring our decades of experience in live cultures and immune support to the plant-based world with the launch of our Actimel 100% Dairy Free shots,” said Sarah Dossett, marketing director at Danone Essential Dairy & Plant-Based U.K and Ireland.

“We know that many people are looking for options that fit their flexitarian diet, and we wanted to offer them the Actimel they know and love in both dairy and dairy-free options.”

The vegan yoghurt drinks are made from a blend of oats and almonds, with the addition of live cultures.

The dairy-free yoghurts are low in sugar, as well as being free-from artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. Danone has also highlighted that the yoghurts come in fully recyclable packaging.
