Miami Bakery Creates Vegan CBD Cookies
Courtney’s Cookies in Miami has created vegan CBD cookies that promote relaxation and sleep.
A Florida based bakery has developed two exciting new flavors of gluten-free CBD cookies, Chill Out and Nighty Night. The bakery partnered with a local CBD company, Physician’s Preferred, to source the key ingredient in their newest creations, a non-psychoactive extract of marijuana that is believed to have calming properties.
The two CBD cookies have different levels of CBD infused in them, with the Chill Out flavor containing 25 mg of CBD, while the Nighty Night flavor contains 50 mg of CBD and 3 mg of sleep-promoting melatonin.
Founder of Courtney’s Cookies, Courtney Kohout told Time Out, “We wanted to infuse our cookies with CBD because it perfectly aligns with our core values around health and wellness, I definitely feel the effects from both our Chill Out and Nighty Night cookies. They do exactly what their names suggest.”
The bakery also offers up a range of other sweet treats besides the CBD cookies, including other flavors of vegan cookies, cookie cakes, and ice cream cookie sandwiches. The bakery uses coconut and cashew based vegan ice creams for their cookie sandwiches.

CBD interest has been growing in the wellness industry, with many believing it is soon to become a billion dollar industry. Although scientific research is still ongoing, it has some good evidence that it can provide relief for a whole range of ailments, including aches and pains, migraines and it can even be used to treat epileptic seizures.
CBD is a cannabidiol and is one of the many components found in the cannabis plant. The two most commonly known elements of cannabis are THC and CBD. Unlike THC, which is the compound that gives you the ‘high’, CBS is a non-psychoactive, meaning you don’t get the effects you would normally associate with smoking. CBD is legal in Florida, but not in all states.
