New Vegan Jerky To Debut At Whole Foods Next Week
A new line of vegan jerky is set to debut at US grocery giant Whole Foods next week.
The result of a partnership between meat-alternative innovators Improved Nature and meat-based brand Perky Jerky, the plant-based range offers two flavors — Tasty Teriyaki, and Sea Salt & Pepper.
Both are designed to be high in protein, with 15 grams per pack, and contain up to 50 percent more of the macronutrient than their meat-based alternatives.
Vegan Jerky “For The Planet”
President and CEO of Improved Nature, Dr. Rody Hawkins commented on the partnership in an email sent to Raise Vegan.
“Together, we have been able to produce a delicious plant-based protein jerky product that will satisfy even the most discerning jerky eater,” his statement reads.
“The best part – our products are not only good for you, but they’re also good for the planet.”
The new range will be available at Whole Foods locations nationwide from September.
