Vegan Cruise Anyone? Australia’s First Plant-Based Cruise Is Here

If you’ve ever been on a cruise you know they’re generally synonymous with food, after all, it’s not like you can go anywhere other than the ship’s restaurant for dinner. Making three trips a day to the all you can eat buffet and washing it down with cocktails is generally the theme of the trip. But now Australia has unveiled its first vegan cruise.

The one of a kind retreat, The Whole Connection, is the creation of entrepreneur Paige Renshaw, who turned to a plant-based diet to combat her chronic fatigue and depression and believes that ‘food is medicine’. Guests on the nine-day South Pacific vegan cruise will get to feast on delicious vegan food, with other dietary requirements also being catered for including gluten-free, oil-free, raw, and no garlic or onion options being available.

Speaking about the menu she created with chefs Paige said, “Trying to source delicious vegan meals while on holiday can be difficult. The beauty of this health retreat is that it offers the perks of a luxury cruise, with the bonus of specially prepared plant-based meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well take-away meals for shore-based days.”

But the vegan cruise isn’t all about the food. They added in another wellness factor with multiple activities being held including, cooking classes, daily yoga and fitness classes, meditation, documentary nights, and so much more.

I don’t know about you, but I’m looking at flights and starting to pack my bags already!
