Vegan Delivery Brand Honest Pastures Drops Prices In COVID-19 Relief Plan
Independent plant-based meal alternative brand Honest Pastures is slashing delivery prices in an attempt to support the public during the global crisis that’s resulted from COVID-19.
Brand founder and owner Dacia Thorson shared her company’s mission, and the motive for the move with Raise Vegan.
“Our mission at Honest Pastures has always been to make environmentally focused food more delicious, healthy and conscious for our bodies, the animals and the planet,” she said.
“The well-being of our community is very important to us — and with the ever-changing, sometimes overwhelming news about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) I wanted to extend free shipping and delivery.”
Plant-Based Proteins — For Less
What this means is that vegans and non vegans alike can order the brand’s plant-based proteins to their doorstep — reducing the risk of exposure to the potentially lethal virus — at a discounted price.
Thorson has chosen to extend free shipping across the US, although a $6.99 fee still applies for an insulated box with ice blocks.
Local deliveries, on the other hand, will be entirely free, covering Hampton Roads Virginia — Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake inclusive.
Supporters can also use the code RAISEVEGAN for 10 percent off at the time of checkout.
A Mission-Driven Founder
Thorson maintains that supporting her community is as important to her now as ever.
“Honest Pastures provides the foundation for compassionate eating for health, the animals and the planet,” she told Raise Vegan.
“I started this company with 100% compassion for all living beings. These values are more important than ever now, and we are happy and proud to serve you.”
