Whole Foods Store Files Restraining Order Against Vegan Group
In Berkeley, California, a Whole Foods Store has filed a restraining order against vegan animal-rights activist group and have been banned from stepping foot inside the store according to The San Francisco Chronicle on Monday.
Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) is the activist group who over the last few years has protested outside the Bay Area Whole Foods and other stores in the area to raise awareness of alleged animal welfare violations of Whole Foods’ main suppliers. The group has claimed to have witnessed animal abuse after visiting a dozen of the suppliers’ farms.

A representative for Whole Foods told The Guardian; “DxE members have repeatedly entered our stores and property to conduct demonstrations that disrupt customers and team members by blocking access to our aisles, departments and cash registers, interfering with our business and putting the safety of both customers and team members at risk.”
