5-Ingredient Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Pretty much everyone loves chocolate chip cookies, right?! But maybe we struggle to find opportunities to make them. While making the time to whip up a standard vegan batch may be well worth the reward, this recipe is about to make life a whole lot easier for busy plant-based cookie lovers big and small.

Made with just three ingredients, these cookies by 15-year-old blogger Lucy Musgrave of Pure Delicious are simple and delicious. 

Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

5-Ingredient Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 1/3 cup almond butter(or nut butter of choice)
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 30g dark chocolate chips/chunks


  1. Preheat the oven to 180° Celsius.
  2. In a bowl, combine the almond butter and maple syrup. Continue to mix until the mixture becomes thick. If the dough is a little runny, add 1 tbsp more maple syrup and continue to mix.
  3. Add the baking powder, vanilla, and salt. Then, chop the chocolate into small chunks and add to the mix.
  4. Separate the dough into 6 cookies, then place on a lined tray. Place in the oven for 8-10 minutes, then allow to cool before enjoying!
