Animal Rescue Center Asked To Prevent Dogs From Barking After Neighbors Complaint
Ark Animal Rescue, operating from past 33 years, is facing existential crisis after a new neighbor complained against it to the local council on the grounds of noise pollution. The charity has been successfully raising rescued canines and has a center running in North Somercotes (Lincolnshire).
The animal rescue center has been ordered by the local council to prevent dogs from barking. As told to BBC, Sue Rice, a representative from Ark Animal Rescue said, “I’ve got to be seen to be stopping the dogs barking and I’m not sure how to do that. The worse case scenario is we can’t take any more dogs, or we have to re-home the ones we have – which hopefully won’t happen”

At present, Ark houses over 30 rescued dogs and some other donkeys, cats and goats. Seems like the animal center could be under threat after a possible loss of donation. However, few supporters took to social media to defend the center. The Council made a statement to the media, stating that it takes all noise complaints seriously, regardless of the longevity of the complainant’s stay in the area. The compliant chose to remain silent over the issue.
