Food Trends 2019
So what’s the prediction? It looks like we’ll be eating more things grown in labs, we will also be able to choose whether we get those foods at the store, delivered to us in kits, pick them up in a restaurant, or have them served to us by bots. Check out these Food Trends 2019:
Motherless meats and more sustainable foods
Plant-based diets will still be surging ahead in popularity in 2019. We will see an influx of more lab-grown meats and related proteins. The popularity of “root-to-stem” foods that will use ingredients that used to be considered waste, like pulp and rescued bananas, will soar.

Virtual Restaurants
Automated dining experiences are becoming more common, and the popularity of robots in the restaurant business won’t be slowing down next year. There will be robots that actually make your food, delivery room service in hotels and “self-driving” bots that seat customers and take orders. Food delivery services will also be an uptrend, with companies such as Deliveroo, Uber eats and Just Eat expanding their virtual restaurant base.

Marijuana in the Mainstream
As marijuana becomes legal in more places in North America, more and more food manufacturers are jumping on the bandwagon. There will be CBD infused sodas, beers, coffee, and snacks. The mainstreaming of marijuana will be found in restaurants and bars, where chefs will be hosting CBD tasting dinners and bartenders crafting CBD cocktails.
