Gaming Company Creates Vegan Christmas Meal In A Tin For "Hardcore Gamers"

British gaming company GAME has created a three-course vegan Christmas meal for “hardcore gamers.”

The Christmas Tinner is a festive feast layered into one tin. The compact meal is designed for gamers who “don’t want to leave their gaming chair on Christmas day.”

Starting with scrambled tofu and tempeh bacon as the top breakfast layer, gamers can eat their way down through non-dairy cheese with olives and grapes, followed by mushroom Wellington, gravy, bread sauce, peppery plant-based pigs in blankets, stuffing, roasted butternut squash, parsnips, carrots, and red cabbage.

Those who still have room for dessert can enjoy a custard and chocolate cake layer at the bottom. 

The 400g tins are on sale for £1.99 each.

High Demand For Vegan Alternatives

The original Christmas Tinner is made with meat and dairy products. The company was inspired to create an animal-friendly alternative after being “inundated with requests for a vegan or vegetarian alternative.”

With the increasing preference towards plant-based eating this past year, the gaming company has joined the list of those embracing the trend.

With 3.5 million people in the UK now following a vegan diet, meat will be off the menu for many households this Christmas.
