Greta Thunberg Takes School Strikes Digital Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Vegan and environmental activist Greta Thunberg recently took to Instagram to encourage her followers to take their school strike digital, as fears surrounding the novel coronavirus surge.

Thunberg said, “In a crisis we change our behaviour and adapt to the new circumstances for the greater good of society.”

She then went on to say that instead of protesting in the streets, school strike participants should take a picture of themselves with a sign and post it with the hashtag #ClimateStrikeOnline.

At the time of writing, there are currently 3,470 posts on Instagram tagged #ClimateStrikeOnline.
