Homemade Vegan Peanut Butter Cups

Peanut butter and chocolate — a classic combination for good reason. (Because it’s delicious.)

This recipe, from Nicolette of Basil & Biceps is a can’t-lose option for Valentine’s Day. Whip them up for your sweetie, or pack them for a Palentine’s potluck and you’re sure to impress.

That said, you might want to double the recipe for group events.

Homemade Vegan Peanut Butter Cups


  • 1 1/2 cups vegan chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup (you may need more or less) creamy peanut butter, only ingredient should be peanuts
  • 1 tbsp Nutiva coconut oil


  1. In a microwave safe bowl, mix chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in intervals of 30 seconds until chocolate is smooth
  2. Line muffin tins with muffin liners.
  3. Pour about 1/4 inch of chocolate into bottom of muffin liners
  4. Let harden in freezer for 15 minutes
  5. Remove and scoop as much peanut butter you want in the middle!
  6. Pour more chocolate on top
  7. Place in freezer to set, and enjoy!
