JUST Vegan Egg To Pop Up At Yet Another US Chain
The new dish will feature the animal-product alternative, along with roasted butternut squash, broccoli, caramelized onions and almond milk.
“We’re grateful to be launching JUST Egg with a partner that not only values high-quality ingredients to make simple, nourishing and delicious dishes, but one that also understands the benefits of eating more plant-based foods, for the health of our own bodies and for the planet,” said JUST CEO and Co-Founder Josh Tetrick.
The plant-based frittata will be available from September 18 as part of the chain’s new fall menu at locations across New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Miami, Chicago and Philadelphia.

An answer to concerns around protein sources and the vegan diet, this mung-bean-based egg holds its own when compared against the animal-sourced alternative — a reality Le Pain Quotidien US President Lou Ramirez is apparently aware of.
“At Le Pain Quotidien, we’re always striving to provide delicious, health-conscious and eco-friendly offerings to a range of diners around the world,” he said.
“We’re excited to roll out this protein-packed offering and a variety of other vegan options on our fall menu,”
JUST’s flagship product packs 5g of protein per a serving, compared against 6g in a conventional egg. Aside from the comparable protein content, the plant-based option boasts 0mg of cholesterol, versus the 185mg found in one traditional egg.
