K-Pop Stars Donate $50k To Help Ellen Degeneres Save Gorillas in Africa
Korean pop group SuperM surprised Ellen DeGeneres with a $50,000 donation to her wildlife fund to help gorillas in Africa.
SuperM, the seven-member pop sensation, appeared on The Ellen Show for their television debut this week.
The superstars attempted to teach the popular host their signature dance move — jopping — before presenting her with the generous donation.
SuperM member Mark said, “As much as it’s our first time here on Ellen, we know that you’re a great supporter for gorillas in Africa, and so we actually brought you a little something”.

Ellen Degeneres & Portia De Rossi Fight For Mountain Gorillas
The Fund was established in 2018 by Ellen’s wife, Portia de Rossi, as a birthday present for the comedian and talk show star.
Together, and with a community of others, they aim to help “secure a future for wild mountain gorillas” through conservation efforts and education. These gorillas are among the most endangered species on the planet with around just 1000 of them left in the wild.
What do you think of the conservation work the fund is doing? Let us know in the comments below!
