KFC Vegan Chicken Coming Soon To China
KFC has teased that vegan chicken will soon be on the menu in China.
The fast food giant recently made an announcement on Weibo — a Chinese social media platform — and tagged Beyond Meat in the post.
“Looking forward to exploring a new journey in the food world together! #NewKFCEnergy. See you in June!” wrote KFC.
The move comes after a successful trial of meat-free chicken nuggets at KFC in China last month. The nuggets sold out in one hour, with 7,000 portions purchased.

KFC Vegan Chicken
The fast food chain has been expanding its vegan options around the globe over the last year.
In the UK, the brand offers a plant-based chicken burger in partnership with Quorn. The burger reportedly sold at a rate of one every three seconds during the first month.
Earlier this year, KFC began trialling vegan fried chicken at restaurants across the US — sharing that successful sales would lead to permanent status on the menu.
