Magical Baby Boy & Baby Girl Names

There is something so beautiful about the wonder of imaginary or mythical creatures and the realms in which they live, and something magical about the mysteries of everything that we don’t understand in our own world. These baby boy and baby girl names pay homage to the mysterious, the inexplicable and the mystical, and celebrate the magnificence of imagination.

Pixie – This name is full of spirit and conjures images of fun, cheeky characters. Pixie sounds quite cute and funky and is one of those unique baby girl names too. Easy to pronounce and shorten, the spelling could be changed to suit your child and your family name.

Aura – As a word, Aura is most well known to refer to the unseen energy around all living beings. In Greek mythology, Aura was the Goddess of the breeze and the fresh air of early morning. What a beautiful connection for your little girl!

Kesem – A Hebrew name meaning ‘magic’ or ‘charm’, Kesem is an unusual name but not to ‘out there’. This name could be used for a boy or a girl and won’t sound too childlike when they grow up.

Kismet – Another word for ‘serendipity’ or ‘fate’. Kismet sounds super sweet and can easily be shortened to create cute nicknames or spelled differently to personalize it.

Magus – A Greek boy’s name meaning ‘magician’. Magus is different but simple, a great compromise for parents who are torn between unique names and more traditional ones.

Fae – An old English word for ‘fairy’. This baby girl names cute but won’t sound silly when your little lady is all grown up.

Candeo – A Latin word meaning ‘to glitter, shine, or glow’, this name speaks of magic from within. Suitable for either a boy or a girl, Candeo could be tweaked to make it just perfect for your child.

Norna – This Greek moniker was the name that the Goddess of Fate was known by. It has a beautiful sound that would flow well with most family names. It would mature well with your child as they reach adulthood.

Quirin – A name of Irish origin suitable for both boys and girls, Quirin means ‘magical’ and sounds beautiful! Easy to pronounce and open to spelling changes and creative nicknames, this name is unique without being overly strange.

Sahri – In Arabic, this word means simply ‘magical’ and it is just perfect as a name for your magical little boy or girl.

Zane – Albanian for ‘fairy’ or ‘pixy’. This name is about as simple as you can get while still having a nice, magical meaning. Easy to spell and easy to pronounce, Zane is a great way to give your child a fun name without making life hard for them down the track! It’s also gained quite a lot of popularity in the last few years.
