Plant and Mineral-Based Cleaning with Biokleen
What is Biokleen’s perspective on the current market for plant and mineral based household cleaning products?
Biokleen: We are encouraged that more and more consumers are choosing plant-based products over conventional toxic chemicals. This is ultimately best for the planet and future generations. We are proud that we run a dedicated, plant- and mineral-based ingredient facility. Many brands – new and old alike – in the industry are marketing organizations that co-pack their products in facilities that still benefit from making toxic cleaning products. As a manufacturer, this provides consumers with confidence and surety in the cleanliness of our products and the values we share with them.
Biokleen’s product ‘Bac-Out’ is award-winning. Congratulations and can you tell us more about it?
Biokleen: Biokleen Bac-Out is a probiotic formula that helps eliminate stains and odors at the microscopic level. Our proprietary enzymes work to digest stains and odors from food, wine, pet urine and feces, and just about any other “organic” stain.
Biokleen has also earned a number of other awards. Can you share any insight about achieving success as a producer of mineral and plant-based cleaning products for the home?
Biokleen: As an independent, family-owned brand we’ve been fortunate to win awards over the years. However, the ones we’re most proud of are the ones are consumers nominate us for. Most recently, our Biokleen Sport Laundry Liquid won an Eco-Excellence Award and we’re told we’ve been nominated for four more in 2019.

Happy plant-based cleaning!
Can you tell us more about Biokleen’s work with the Eden Reforestation Project?
Biokleen: To date, we’ve planted close to 140,000 trees in Indonesia. Biokleen has been working with Eden Reforestation Project as part of our reforestation efforts in Iha Village, Indonesia. Our current project is working to protect the village from climate change caused coastal erosion and creating sustainable jobs while rebuilding wildlife habitat.
Biokleen’s mineral and plant-based cleaning products sure do look promising. Are you curious to try one? Which ones are you using? Let us know in the comments below.
