If you think the only non-dairy alternatives to milk are almond and soy milk, you need to think again. There is a new buzz in the vegan town, Oat milk, a delicious alternative to regular milk.
Specialty Coffee Association recently came up with ‘The Square Coffee Report 2018’ prepared with the help of payment processor, Square. One of the major findings through the report has been the rise of oat milk as an alternative to dairy. It seems as though it may soon replace almond with the sale rising by 425% since June 2017.
The report reveals less than 10,000 oat milk based drinks were sold in September 2017. By the start of 2018, the numbers rose to 20,000. And since then demand for these dairy alternative drinks is skyrocketing reaching up close to 50,000 by July 2018 with an astronomical increase of 425%.
