How To Order Vegan Options At Starbucks

by | January 11, 2018

What do you order at Starbucks when you’re vegan and can no longer have that mocha latte with extra whipped cream? Here’s a guide on how to order the vegan options at Starbucks.

My go-to order at Starbucks was always a mocha latte with extra whipped cream. Then I transitioned to veganism and stopped going altogether. I actually gave up coffee for a long time because I couldn’t wrap my head around how to veganize their menu. But after some time I realized it’s actually a lot easier than I had originally thought. So I’ve put together a list of some easy vegan options at Starbucks you can order next time you need your caffeine fix.

Americano

The obvious choice is just a plain americano. You can drink it black or add in soy, almond or coconut milk.

Iced Tea

Starbucks iced tea with no milk is vegan, and you can just sub in any plant-based milk you want for a sweet and refreshing treat.

Mocha Frappuccino

Can I get a hallelujah?! The mocha syrup is actually vegan, just don’t forget to leave off the whipped cream and sub out the dairy for a plant-based milk and it’sone of the sweetest (and my personal favorite) vegan options at Starbucks.

Strawberry Smoothie

As with all of these drinks, sub out the dairy and you’ve got yourself a refreshing fruity drink for a summers day. Don’t forget to take out the protein powder too!

Hazelnut/Vanilla/Caramel/Peppermint/Raspberry/Toffee Latte

Most of the syrups at Starbucks are vegan, which gives you countless ways to mix up your drink. Think of all the possibilities, vanilla soy latte, peppermint mocha frappuccino, caramel iced tea/coffee. I’m drooling just thinking of it all. Just stay away from the caramel drizzle which has dairy and you’re good to go!

So there you have it! The list of vegan options at Starbucks is actually larger than you might first suspect, which makes it that much easier to get your caffeine fix for those early mornings.
