Pizza Hut Launches Vegan Stuffed-Crust Option
Pizza Hut UK has announced the launch of a stuffed-crust option made with vegan cheese.
“We can’t wait for customers to try the deliciously melty new stuffed crust, and help continue to show people [that] it’s never been easier to go dairy-free,” said Simon Orchard, manager for Pizza Hut UK and Ireland.
The new vegan cheese stuffed crust will be available in Pizza Hut locations across the UK starting February 26, adding to the chain’s existing list of plant-based offerings.
According to Mirror, the new stuffed crust will be made with dairy-free cheese from dairy-alternative giant Violife. Adding a stuffed crust to an individual pizza will cost consumers an extra £2.50.

Growing Demand For Vegan Options
The new release is just one of many big-brand responses to increasing demand for plant-based products in the UK of late.
Pizza Hut UK was one of many chains to offer a special release for Veganuary, debuting the popular “Pepperphoni” pizza just last month, and has since decided to make its plant-based menu a year-round offering.
This month, UK grab-and-go chain Greggs launched vegan hot cross buns folllowing the massive success of their plant-based sausage rolls — international headline earners, and a hot topic in mainstream media.
