Pret To Give Out Free Vegan Croissants Following "Huge" Launch Success
Pret’s recently launched Very Berry Croissant — which has reportedly been a huge success — will be available as part of a free giveaway on January 31.
To celebrate the end of Veganuary, all UK branches of the coffee chain will offer free Very Berry Croissants between 3pm and 4pm.
Customers will have to reveal a password in order to enjoy the offer, which will be released on Pret’s social media shortly.
“A Huge Hit”
The company has revealed that the new plant-based pastry is currently outselling its traditional dairy counterpart by 100 percent.
“The Very Berry Croissant is the latest vegan innovation from Pret and has been a huge hit” said a Pret spokesperson.
“It is currently selling more than double the amount per day of the non-vegan jam croissant it replaced, showing that there is a growing number of customers looking for vegan alternatives.”

The international coffee chain — which has over 450 stores in nine countries — has upped its vegan game in recent years.
At the same time as launching the new dairy-free croissant, the company also dropped its surcharge for plant-based milks.
