Queer-Owned Vegan Cheese Shop Preparing For Nationwide Launch
A queer-owned vegan cheese shop has opened in Denton, Texas, with plans underway for a nationwide launch.
Mindful Mortal Cheese was started by plant-based team Emily Sanchez and Aspen Carter. The store is currently offering cashew-based cheddar and mozzarella style flavors for local delivery and collection.
“Exciting Flavors”
“We started making cheese because during the pandemic vegan cheese was hard to find and can be expensive to buy,” explained the duo in an email to Raise Vegan.
“In the near future we hope to create allergen friendly vegan cheese along with other exciting flavors. We just started a GoFundMe to expand in the next year in order to be able to ship across the United States.”
