Vegan Starbucks — Coffee Giant Debuts Dairy-Free Guava Drink
Starbucks has added a new vegan iced guava drink to the menu.
The Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink debuted yesterday at select locations in the US.
The global coffee chain has described the new release as “guava, passionfruit, pineapple, and ginger, hand-shaken with coconut milk and ice for a smooth and creamy beverage to uplift your day.”
Earlier this year, Starbucks said it would be encouraging customers to choose vegan alternatives to dairy drinks. The announcement came as the company promised to halve its carbon emissions.

Plant-based dairy alternatives at Starbucks currently include soy, coconut, and almond. Select stores are also serving oat milk.
The coffee chain claimed during a shareholder meeting in March that they are working on removing the surcharge for non-dairy milks.
“We expect costs to come down as the supply chain for plant-based options matures and we will pass this onto our customers” promised Roz Brewer, chief operating officer at Starbucks.
