Summerlicious: The One Vegan Lip Balm I Can’t Get Over
I have been eyeing Nature’s Co. Lip-pops since the last time I saw their pretty pink Berry Lip Balm glass jars. To be honest, Nature’s Co. has a really tempting range of vegan lip balms even a lip-care-novice, like myself, finds too hard to resist. It was a tad bit difficult to choose from the ever-tempting Chocolate, Luscious Rose, Lovely Peach, and Refreshing Pineapple Lip-pops. These flavors I love personally. However, this time I chose the Mango Sun Protecting version. After all, in summer’s scorching heat, there isn’t anything better than sun-protectant and MANGOES!

I wasn’t disappointed – it is the first lip balm I haven’t once forgotten to apply during my daily skincare regimen solely due its delicious smell. I am one of those lazy people who prefer to slather the same moisturizer over the face, under eyes, and lips! Let’s see how the vegan lip balm fares on other performance parameters.

The Review: Mango Sun Protecting Lip-pop (Vegan Lip Balm) By The Nature’s Co.

Vegan lip balms that do the job well are pretty difficult to find, especially in India. The majority of well-known brands have beeswax, which is strictly a ‘no-no’ for vegans like me. My quest for the perfect cruelty-free and animal derivatives-free lip balm ended with The Nature’s Co. brand.

The lip balm comes in a pretty retractable, travel-friendly tube. THE SMELL – I just can’t stop raving about it! I am a mango lover and this one smells like I just took a tour of a mango orchard. Every time I apply it, my fur baby starts sniffing around in search of the source (he is a mango lover too). Even if you have a sensitive nose, you’re going to love it.

Composition of this vegan lip balm is good and doesn’t melt. It feels like I’m applying lightweight moisturizing butter to my lips. It is smooth, creamy, and doesn’t leave a waxy residue or settle into clumps even if lips are dry and flaky.
I tried using it as a lip primer – applying 15 minutes before I began my makeup. It works well as a base and prevents lipstick from settling into fine lines.
Overall Verdict
The Nature’s Co. Mango Lip Pop hydrates well as a balm. The smell is heavenly, and the all-natural ingredient list of mango butter, shea butter, vitamin E, carrot seed oil, and castor oil assures me of the quality. It also acts as a sun-protectant with natural SPF. If you’re searching for a fruit flavored natural balm without the waxy feel, give this a try. You’ll be happy you did!
