Super Simple Vegan Cottage Cheese Recipe
Have you been looking for a store brand vegan cottage cheese? Well, no need because you can make your own!
Cottage cheese. You either love it or you hate it, but either way, you ended up here looking at this recipe. This recipe is surprisingly easy to follow and it doesn’t contain a bunch of hard to get ingredients that will leave you traveling halfway around the country to find. All you need is a blender and a few ingredients you probably have sitting in the fridge or pantry and you’re good to make your very own vegan cottage cheese.
- 1 1/3 cups silken tofu
- 1 1/2 cups firm tofu
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- In a blender, combine the silken tofu, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Blend until your mixture is completely smooth. You may need to scrape the edges of your blender and continue to blend a couple of times to make sure it’s all smooth.
- Pour your soft, smooth tofu mixture into a medium bowl. Crumble the firm tofu into your silken tofu mixture, and stir well to combine.
And there you have it! Super simple, yet delicious vegan cottage cheese.
