Tofu Alternative Ditches Soy In Favor Of Pumpkin Seeds
Pumfu, an alternative tofu product made with pumpkin seeds instead of soy, is now hitting retailers in the US.
Made from pumpkin seeds, it contains 17g of protein, 5g of fibre, and 28g of fat per serving. Similarly versatile to tofu, Pomfu can be used in both sweet and savory dishes, while effectively eliminating the concerns some have around soy.

Pumfu is a product released by Foodies Vegan, which was started by a woman named Valerie, and her three sons.
The brand debuted Pumfu at Expo West 2019, a convention for natural food products, in March. Finding success there, it has since begun its rollout to select stores and online.
Foodies Vegan also carries a line of vegan frittatas, made with pumpkin seeds, and burgers, made with artichoke.
