Vegan Disney Star Invests in Plant-Based Fast Food Chain

The star of Disney’s Aladdin movie, Mena Massoud, has invested in a vegan fast food chain based in San Diego — Plant Power Fast Food.

“I’ve spent a great deal of time touring North America visiting a lot of plant-based restaurants” said Massoud in an email to Raise Vegan.

“Plant Power Fast Food immediately stuck out as a big player…There is great attention to detail, and we share the same outlook, that in order to cause real change, we have to make plant-based living accessible to the masses.”

The restaurant chain opened its first location in 2016, offering a totally plant-based menu. It has since expanded with five restaurants throughout Southern California, and four more set to open soon. Plant Power Fast Food also has a food truck operation in Los Angeles.
