An Anti-Plastic Book Is Being Sold Wrapped In Plastic
Urban Outfitters has been criticised for its decision to sell an anti-plastic book wrapped in plastic.
A customer at Urban Outfitters in London spotted the book — F**k Plastic: 101 Ways to Free Yourself from Plastic and Save the World — and noticed it had a plastic wrapper.
The customer took to Twitter to share the ironic discovery, and later told Buzzfeed that this was an example of “greenwashing” — the concept of deceptively making money from the sustainability movement.

Anti-Plastic Book
Urban Outfitters is not the only company selling the book with added plastic. Online shoppers who purchased the book on Amazon also commented on how the book arrived in a plastic wrapper.
“Packaging Was Plastic”
“It was a shame the packaging was plastic but a good book,” wrote one person in the review section.
“Interesting tips on how to live a more sustainable life. Well written and easy to read. I just wished it was sustainably shipped and not wrapped in plastic,” wrote another.
