Campaign Pledges $1 To Charity For Every Person Who Goes Vegan For January
Million Dollar Vegan — the group that recently challenged President Trump to give veganism a go — has pledged to donate $1 to animal charities for every person who embraces a plant-based diet for January.
In an email to Raise Vegan, the group explained that “to motivate the president and inspire many about the profound, life-saving benefits of a vegan diet, Million Dollar Vegan is challenging the American public to join the challenge.”
The charities to benefit from the campaign are SiSu Animal Refuge and Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue.
The campaign group has shared that 2,500 people are signing up every day, and that 100,000 people are expected to make the pledge by the end of 2019.
Earlier this month, Evan — a nine-year-old activist — teamed up with the campaign group to offer a $1 million charitable donation to veterans if Donald Trump ditches animal products for January.

The non-profit group is working to introduce people to the benefits of a plant-based diet, not just for the animals, but also for better health, a better environment, a better economy and a more sustainable food chain.
