Here are the excerpts from the interview.

As stated at your website, Sonett is “a pioneer in ecological laundry detergents and cleaners since 1977”.  What do you contribute to your company’s longevity as well as steadily increasing consumer demand?

Gerhard Heid: The most important point for the longevity of our company for the future is that we have transferred our company shares to a foundation. So the follow up in leading the company is that we can transfer to the best, and not only to sons, daughters or investors. The benefits of the company are no longer private property but stay inside the company for new investments, are donated to institutions of public interest and are used for employee involvement.

What is it like working at Sonett’s HQ is in Deggenhausertal, near Lake Constance?

Gerhard Heid: Deggenhausertal is a wonderful holiday region near the lake of Constance. At the moment we enjoy the most beautiful season of the year, with warm sunshine, the blossoms on the trees and the colored meadows and hills.

Your company not only produces many cleaning products but also fun things like the “Bio-bubbles”. Are there any new products we can expect to see soon from Sonett specifically for children?

Gerhard Heid: Since last year we produce a new line of Massage Oils and Body Lotions on the base of mistletoe. We are planning to increase this range of body care products, as well with creams for children.

I see Sonett uses Facebook and Instagram. How does your team most enjoy using social media?

Gerhard Heid: We concentrate our efforts in digital communication beside Facebook and Instagram on our website with our online shop. Currently, we have more than 300.000 page views per month.

I am personally a fan of your great products and have used them for years. I imagine Sonett receives a lot of great customer feedback.  How has consumer response developed over the years with Sonett’s growth?

Gerhard Heid: I think the longevity of our customer relations is based on a high level of confidence and credibility, which we feel like the main capital fort he future. The last brand analysis of the leading German bio journal „Schrot und Korn“ shows that our publicity is constantly growing and we have the highest sympathy percentages, compared to our main competitors. The marketing study o BioVista shows that in the organic market in Germany, Sonett is the market leader with more than 30% market share.
