DIY Face Masks to Help with that Pregnancy ‘Glow’

Here are a few DIY face masks that you can make from ingredients you probably have at home.

Almond Oil and Banana Face Mask

This mask is so easy to make and can get you that pregnancy glow everyone talks about. It is rich in vitamin B12 and vitamin C. It can help improve collagen production which provides elasticity.

How to Make:

Mash a ripened banana in a bowl until it’s mushy and add three drops of almond oil. Give it a good stir to mix. Apply to clean dry skin and leave it on for about fifteen minutes. Rinse off with water.

Cucumber and Tomato Mask

This mask enhances your skin tone and can reduce the effects of stress on your face. Leaving it to cool in the fridge will feel so good on your tired face.

How to Make:

Extract the juice from a ripe tomato and half of a cucumber. Mix the juices together in a bowl and refridgerate for twenty minutes. Apply mask to clean dry skin and leave on for fifteen minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Avocados are full of vitamin A and E and antioxidants that stave off off skin-damaging free radicals. They’re a great source of biotin, which can ibe beneficial for dry skin.

Avocado and Oatmeal Mask

How to Make:

Make half a cup of oatmeal according to instructions. Mash half a ripe avocado and mix it with the oatmeal. Apply mask to clean, dry skin. Keep it on for fifteen minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Avocado and Apricot Mask

How to Make:

Mash half of a ripe avocado and half of a ripe apricot and mix until you get a paste. Apply mask to clean, dry face for thirty minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

As with everything you put on your face, if any of these masks feel uncomfortable, wash off straight away.
