Famous Chef Joins Beyond Meat Campaign To Feed A Million New Yorkers
TV chef Josh Capon has joined the Beyond Meat campaign to donate one million meals to people affected by the pandemic.
The plant-based protein company launched the Feed A Million+ initiative to provide free Beyond Burgers in New York.
Through the collaboration with Capon, Beyond Meat has started using two of the chef’s restaurants for its campaign.
Lure Fishbar and Burger & Barrel — both located in SoHo — have now joined the list of locations donating Beyond Burgers to frontline workers and chosen charities.
“Free Nourishing Meals”
“Through this partnership, Beyond Meat will continue to deliver free, nourishing meals to those on the frontlines,” explained the brand in an email to Raise Vegan, “while helping these previously closed restaurants and re-creating jobs.”

Beyond Meat Feed A Million+
Since April, Beyond Meat has been working to feed people in New York who have been impacted by COVID-19.
“Our goal has always been to use food as a vehicle for change” the brand explained.
“Strong Sense Of Community”
“We’re fortunate to be in a position to put that into action now like never before.”
“Our hope is that this donation will help make lives easier and contribute to the strong sense of community that is so vitally important during these unprecedented times.”
