Cruelty Free Makeup Guide To Glam Up This New Year’s Eve
Primer
The importance of primer is vital, it is what will give you a smooth base and what will save your makeup from clogging your pores. Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer is a cult-favorite for many beauty gurus as it’s light on the skin, non-oily and smells great.
Foundation
For a matte look, Rihanna’s Fenty Pro Filt’r foundation has been a favorite of mine since it has come out. Apply with either a beauty blender or a liquid foundation brush for an airbrushed look. For a more dewy look, try Too Faced Born This Way.
Contour
Blush /Highlighter
Now sold at Ulta, you can find Colourpop, an affordable yet high-quality makeup line. Try one of their super shock cream highlighters that can double as a blush for an iridescent glow.
Brows
Eyebrows
Anastasia Beverly Hills is famous for their impeccable eyebrow products. In my routine, I use their dipbrow pomade to enhance my natural eyebrow shape which is topped off with their clear eyebrow gel.
Eyeshadow
With eyeshadow, there is an endless number of options depending on the look you’re going for. For a warm eye look, try Tarte’s Tartelette Toasted Palette. You can also use the shimmery champagne color “Candle” as a highlighter if you forgot your Colourpop.
Eyeliner
Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner in the color Trooper will give you precise lines and an effortless wing, utilizing the pointed felt-tip applicator. NYX Cosmetics has a similar product if you only have time to run into Target.
Mascara
Tarte’s Maneater mascara will give you all of the volume and length that you need, no false lashes required. Not only that, but the packaging is fierce.
Lipstick
Coming in 56 different colors, Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is a food-proof, drink-proof and kiss-proof essential that will leave you with a bold lip all night long. For myself, I’ll be wearing the shade Vampira. If liquid lipstick isn’t your thing, you can alternatively use her Studded Kiss Lipstick which amazingly comes in all of the same colors as the liquid lip line.
