Yes to Plant-Based, No to Labels
In a post-match press conference, as the number one tennis player in the world who secured a place in the Sunday Finals, Novak remarked how he has been following a plant-based diet consistently, but doesn’t approve of the term ‘vegan’.
The 32-year-old tennis star explained, he has been eating plant-based foods for the past few years, but doesn’t like labels because of their misinterpretation and misuse. He further added – eating plant-based is one of the reasons he is able to recover well and doesn’t have allergies any longer.
When asked about the next season of the documentary ‘Game Changer’, of which he was an Executive Producer, the plant-based athlete said,
“It is about how this diet affects the world, not just personal health, but also sustainability, ecology, animals. This is what I care about so I’m really privileged to be part of that team.”
