by | February 12, 2020

Pizza giant Papa John’s has become the first fast food chain in Spain to offer vegan pizza.

The company has teamed up with Beyond Meat and Veganuary to create the Papa John’s Green menu, which features two dairy-free pizzas.

Customers in Spain can now enjoy Papa John’s Green, featuring vegan cheese, tomato sauce, tomatoes, onions, black olives, mushrooms, and green peppers, or Papa John’s Green PLUS, made with vegan cheese, tomato sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, and Beyond Burger meat.

“The Best Pizza”

“With this launch, we are continuing our commitment to quality ingredients,” said Javier Aranguíz, General Manager of Papa John’s Spain.

“We are excited to partner up with Beyond Meat, a market leader in plant-based meats, to respond to new consumer trends like the growing demand for plant-based options.”

“Papa John’s Green offers our customers two new pizzas for all those who want to reduce their consumption of animal protein without giving up the best pizza.”

The fast food chain has more than 70 stores in Spain, and more than 5,300 locations worldwide.
