In an Instagram post which featured a picture of her dog, Tatiana on Thursday, Schumer expressed her gratitude even though she’s been having a rough few days. The comedian asked fans to send pics of their babies and dogs to cheer her up.
Hyperemesis gravidarum is a condition that causes extreme vomiting and nausea in pregnant women, who are often hospitalized because of severe dehydration or weight loss as a result. Schumer is not the only celebrity to suffer from the illness, as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has dealt with the condition with each of her three children.
Schumer and husband Chris Fischer, chef and cookbook author, were married this past February and announced in October that they’re expecting their first child. She has been very open and honest about her pregnancy journey thus far, sharing a lot of her dealings with morning sickness on social media, including a post last week which included a video of the actress throwing up on the car ride to her show in Tarry town, New York. In the post, the actress tells viewers with a weak stomach to turn the sound down, and thanks the crowd for allowing her to perform in sweatpants and slippers.
