Super Bowl “Wings” Seitan Recipe

Try these Super Bowl wings for your football party. They’re pretty simple to whip up, and sure to be a touchdown even for your non-vegan guests. This seitan recipe makes a serving for about two, feel free to double (or even triple!) for a larger party.

Super Bowl “Wings” Seitan Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound seitan (sliced into strips)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup vegan butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (I like Frank’s Red Hot Wing Sauce)

Instructions

  1. Toss the chopped seitan in garlic powder and onion powder and fry in oil over medium heat for about six minutes, until golden brown.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the melted butter and hot sauce.
  3. Throw the fried seitan into the bowl and toss with the melted butter and sauce.
  4. Serve with vegan ranch dressing (I use Daiya), and sticks of celery and carrots.
